Duplicate a layer

To duplicate a Layer, follow these steps:

1. Click the layer's name (either on the timeline or in the list of layers and events below it).
2. Click the Duplicate button at the bottom of the dialog.
3. When Preceden asks "Do you want to duplicate this layer?", click Duplicate to confirm. The process may take a few moments if you have events already in the layer.

The copy appears directly below the original layer, with the same name, notes, color and visibility. Click the copy's name to rename it so you can tell the two apart.

Note: If you duplicate a layer with events in it, the events will also be duplicated. To start with an empty layer instead of a copy, add a layer.
