Hide event details within a specific layer

Preceden decides whether to show event dates and durations from the Content Visibility settings in your timeline's appearance settings. Those settings apply to every event on the timeline, and there is no layer-level version of them.

To hide dates or durations for the events in one layer while leaving them visible in the others, open each of that layer's events, expand More Options in the event dialog, and check Hide dates or Hide duration under Content Visibility.

This gives you the ability to show those details in some layers but not others:

A timeline whose Quarters layer shows bars labeled Q1 through Q4 with no dates, while the Project layer below shows the date range under each of its Phase 1 and Phase 2 bars

To hide a layer entirely, along with its name and all of its events, use the Hide Layer feature instead.
